The Vampire Diaries star Michael Trevino proposed to Dutch model Bregje Heinen on Christmas Eve in Amsterdam. Michael rose to fame playing Tyler Lockwood on The CW drama The Vampire Diaries. While Tyler had a history of very complicated romantic relationships on the show, the actor found his happily ever after off air. 

The couple had been dating since January of 2020, but have kept the details of their romance largely under wraps. For special occasions, such as their anniversary or one of their birthdays, the couple occasionally shares details about their romance on social media. This was one of those occasions… 

The pair took to Instagram to share the news in a joint post, captioning simply “12 . 24 . 23 🤍💍,” In their joint post, the duo uploaded couple portraits taken around the European city, where Heinen’s engagement ring, an oval-shaped solitaire diamond, was on full display.
