Could it be someone’s dream engagement ring?
Remember two weeks ago when the New England Patriots took on the Philadelphia Eagles in Superbowl LII? As always, each member of the winning team took home a big, beautiful ring to commemorate their victory. These rings are made by Jostens, and are usually bold designs of gold and diamond. Replicas are always sought after by NFL fans once the world gets a glimpse of them. In short, they’re kind of a big deal in the world of the Superbowl.
But for those of us who didn’t end up as professional athletes, there’s a new solution. Xbox released their very own Superbowl-esque ring, and we reckon it could make the perfect engagement bling for a gamer guy or girl out there.
Microsoft and Xbox created this chunky piece of bling together. It’s worth over $10,000 and includes a total of 188 diamonds set in 10 karat white gold. Yep, that’s 188 diamonds! Why, you ask? They gave it to a lucky winner of the next best thing to the Superbowl – their Madden NFL 18 game. Contenders had to enter a sweepstakes in the run up to the real game, then play online in a head-to-head matchup while broadcasting it on MIxer, a live-streaming video platform. A random winner was selected after the Superbowl on February 7th.
We think we see a new trend in the making… Superbowl engagement rings? Stranger things can and have happened!
